John Pizzey – Non-Executive Chairman
John Pizzey has been involved in the resources industry for more than 40 years. He is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Alumina Limited, a position he will step down from early in the new-year. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Orora Limited. Previous directorships include Iluka Resources Limited, Amcor Limited and WMC Resources Limited. The majority of Mr Pizzey’s executive experience was with Alcoa Inc. and Alcoa of Australia. Mr Pizzey is a Life Member and former Chairman of the International Aluminium Institute and he is a former Chairman of the London Metal Exchange
Martin Donohue – Managing Director
Martin Donohue is the founder of Kidman Resources Limited. He has had over 15 years’ experience in equity capital markets and the natural resources sector where he has been directly involved in evaluating mineral projects at various stages of development and raising capital. Mr Donohue is a director of several private and public companies focused on base and precious metals with projects in Australia and Sub Saharan Africa. He is also the principal of Penstock Advisory, a private consulting and investment company based in Melbourne that specialises in identifying, managing and developing mineral projects in Australia and overseas. Mr Donohue has been instrumental in putting together Kidman’s portfolio of mineral projects in Australia.
Brad Evans – Non-Executive Director
Brad is a Principal Mining Engineer with nearly 20 years’ experience in the mining industry and is currently the General Manager of Mining Plus Pty Ltd.
Since completion of a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) at the University of Ballarat, Brad has gained a broad range of practical mining experience through seeking out a diverse range of roles. His experience includes production, planning and management on mine sites and as a service provider in the consulting industry. Brad is also a board member of a junior mining company which allows him to put into practice what he has learnt throughout his career, he understands that getting it right the first time is critical to success.
Brad takes a realistic, practical, problem solving approach to all issues in life. One of Brad’s core mottos is “we may not be able to see the solution now, but there is one, so let’s find it”. Brad has an intimate knowledge of the mining industry, business strategy, operations, mine planning and software which is applied in combination to extract the greatest value from projects and people.
David Southam – Non-Executive Director
David Southam brings extensive industry experience including significant capital markets expertise, familiarity with the set-up and operation of joint ventures, negotiation of substantial international commodity offtake agreements and has a background covering base and precious metals, bulk materials, contracting and industrial logistics.
David Southam is a Certified Practicing Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in accounting, banking and finance across the resources and industrial sectors. David has been an Executive Director at Western Areas for nearly seven years and has previously acted as a Non-Executive Director of a number of ASX listed companies. He is currently a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee of Curtin University Council, and a member of the WA Advisory Board of Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Aaron Colleran – Non-Executive Director
Aaron Colleran is a strategic member of the highly-successful Evolution Mining Leadership Team, having managed their business development program for the past several years. Originally an exploration geologist with commercial tertiary qualifications, Mr Colleran has had a distinguished career in the resources-related finance industry. He has over 20 years’ experience in mining finance and corporate advice, and has led a range of successful corporate transactions.
Charles McGill – Chief Financial Officer
Charlie joined Kidman from Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) where he was Group Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Development. In addition to leading IPL’s investor engagement program, Charlie advised on IPL’s strategy, M&A, corporate finance, and risk and capital markets activities. Prior to joining IPL, Charlie was a senior executive in Wesfarmers’ Business Development team where he led major M&A transactions and capital expenditure reviews. His earlier corporate experiences include Chief Operating Officer, Service & Systems for Austal Limited, a Perth-based global shipbuilder and defence contractor as well as a period in investment banking and capital markets advisory in Sydney and New York with Morgan Stanley. Charlie served in the US Navy from 1997 to 2003, ultimately serving as Aide to the Secretary of the Navy in the Pentagon from 2001 to 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science (with Merit) in Systems Engineering from the US Naval Academy and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Chris Williams – General Manager / Operations
Chris is a mining engineer who has over 30 years experience in underground and open pit mining operations and management roles throughout Australia.
Before joining Kidman Chris worked for 12 years at Panoramic Resources in a number of senior roles including General Manager Operations for the Savannah and Lanfranchi nickel mines and General Manager Projects and Technical Services. Prior to Panoramic Resources Chris was Mine Superintendent for New Hampton Goldfields and Harmony Gold Mines at their Jubilee Operation near Kalgoorlie.
Jason Eveleigh – General Manager / Commercial
Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in London, Jason has been active in private mergers and acquisitions and has been engaged in the Australian financial services industry for the last decade providing compliance and financial support to corporate advisors. He has extensive capital markets experience and has developed a close working relationship with both the mining and exploration arms of the business.
Michael Green – Exploration Manager
Michael previously worked with Newmont Mining and gained broad experience with varied mineralised systems working in both the Regional Exploration Team in QLD, NSW and the NT before moving to the Tanami Operations in the Northern Territory where he was responsible for both near mine and District exploration. During his time at Newmont Michael was a part of the team that made the Oberon Regional discovery, and the near mine Auron Ore body discovery which has significantly increased the Life of Mine at Newmont Tanami Operations. Michael is responsible for all Exploration projects and near mine resource development and delineation.
